 FYI: The 1-1/2" to  3" sided  canvases will give a 3 D look . 

You will paint each canvas a different shade. You can use any paint your want including interior house paint. Start with your primary color (red, orange, green, blue etc.) Add a little more white to each color for each canvas. (Be sure to paint the sides of the canvas too). Let these dry overnight.

 Place all your canvas panels together and use an old wooden spoon to dribble white paint over all of them. Let dry.
