DIY Making Herbal Bath Blends & Facial ScrubMake a natural facial scrub
or bath blend and put it in an apothecary jar or a decorative bottle.
Victorian Facial Scrub
A wonderful facial scrub
that was used to soften and smooth the complexion of Victorian ladies.
Materials:
- 1 Cup Rose Petals
- 1 Cup Lavender Flowers
- 1 Cup Whole Oatmeal
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Almonds
Additional Supplies:
- Coffee Grinder, Food Processor or Blender
Instructions
1. Grind together all the ingredients until the texture is quite fine. Store in an air tight container.
2. To use the scrub, rub a handful gently onto damp skin in small, circular motions. Allow it to dry on the skin for a minute or so, then rinse off.
Natural Bathblends and a Skin Toner
Hydrotherapy
is a modern word for an ancient remedy. From olden times, people have submerged themselves
in hot water to cleanse, refresh, rejuvenate, repair, and relax. Adding herbal blends to hot water enhances the natural healing and soothing qualities of a hot bath.
Mix any of the following blends as dry ingredients. Stir well and stuff a metal tea ball or muslin bag with
the blend (lace or cotton fabric will also work). As you run your bath, place the tea ball or bag in the tub, under the running water. Then, relax and enjoy!
