How to make a Victorian Style Wedding Bouquet

Materials

1 (White) lace fan
1 (Large) bouquet holder
2 stems of purple open roses or burgundy open roses
4 stems (lavender) star of Bethlehem (you can also use blue bonnets, delphiniums, lilacs, snapdragons
6 stems (cream/purple) tulips
2 sprays of (white) ranunculus
1 bush (12 leaves) green/white caladium (You can also use anthurium leaves or any leaves that are slightly heart shaped leaves and measure approx. 1-1/2' long. )You can easily make a leaf color with silk leaves and a glue gun-See illustration below.
4 yards (white) satin or lace ribbon

Tools

Bouquet Stand (optional: to hold bouquet while assembling)
wire cutters or pruners
florist knife if designing with fresh flowers
glue gun and glue sticks (low temp)
Yardstick
Floral wire, 22 gauge
Floral tape (if you care to wrap each stem after wiring)
Scissors

1. Take the Fan & Holder

Cut the fan handle to a 3" point. Insert it into the foam (in bouquet holder) and add hot glue to secure.

2. Add Roses

Cut both to 5".

3. Star of Bethlehem

Cut to 14", 10", 9", and 8".

4. Tulips

Cut three to 7" and three to 8". Add leaves behind the flowers.

5. Ranunculus Cut two to 5", one to 6", and one to 7".

6. Caladium Cut all to 5" and cover the back side.

7. Ribbon

Make two, 3" and two, 6" single wired loops.

Cut a 32" and a 36" length.

Fold each in half and wire to the center. Add them as tails.
