DIY How to make Three Topiary Trees including a Celosia Topiary , Pinecone Topiary and a Sunflower Topiary

Celosia Topiary
Materials
Instructions
| 1. Push cone into pot,
trimming base so 1" of cone fits snugly in pot. Remove cone. |
| 2. Cut stems from celosia.
Glue celosia to cone, covering all of cone except for 1"
around base. Let dry. |
| 3. Glue crocheted trim
around edge of pot. |
| 4. Glue cone in pot. |
Pinecone Topiary
Materials
STYROFOAM* Brand
Products:
Ball, 3"
Cone, 9" x 4"
Other Materials:
Pinecones, 3/4" – 1" long
Terra cotta pot, 4"
Dried moss
Branch, 10" – 15"
Crocheted trim, cream, 30"
Ribbon, gold wire edge, 24"
Serrated knife
Thick, white craft glue or low temperature glue gun and
glue sticks |

Instructions
| 1. Cut a 2" slice from
the base of the foam cone. (Hint: For smoother cuts, wax the knife
blade with an old candle.) Insert slice into pot, resting just
below the top of the pot; glue in place. |
| 2. Insert one end of branch
into foam ball; remove stem, add glue to hole, and replace stem.
Glue pinecones to ball, stem side down, until surface is
completely covered. Let glue dry. |
| 3. Insert stem into pot;
remove stem, add glue to hole, and replace stem. Arrange and glue
dried moss over foam. Glue crocheted trim around pot. |
| 4. Tie ribbon around stem
under ball. |
Sunflower Topiary
Materials
STYROFOAM* Brand Products:
Ball, 3"
Cone, 9" x 4"
Other Materials:
Dried split peas, yellow
Pinecones, 18 – 20, 3/4" – 1" long
Terra cotta pot, 4"
Ribbon, cream, 36"
Dried moss
Branch, 10" – 15" long
Serrated knife
Thick, white craft glue or low temperature glue gun and glue
sticks |
Instructions
| 1. Cut a 2" slice from
the base of the foam cone. (Hint: For smoother cuts, wax the knife
blade with an old candle.) Insert slice into pot, resting just
below the top of the pot; glue in place. |
| 2. Insert one end of branch
into foam ball; remove stem, add glue to hole, and replace stem.
Glue a row of pinecones, stem side down, around the foam ball,
starting and stopping at the stem. Cover remaining surface with
dried peas, gluing them as close together as possible. Let glue
dry. |
| 3. Insert stem into pot;
remove stem, add glue to hole, and replace stem. Arrange and glue
dried moss over foam. Tie ribbon around pot.
