How to trim a basket with dried roses

How to make a Sweetheart Rose Basket with dried rose buds.

With a mixture of silk and/or dried flowers you can add a natural romantic and colorful touch to your wedding with this basket. Use later to hold your favors or rose petals to toss at the reception. This is a great basket to use to hold your wedding programs,

Materials:

1 White Heart Shaped Basket, 5" Diameter or use this basket and spray paint it white if you want a similar look
1 White Heart Doily, 5"(or cut one from a piece of lace or organza)
4 ft of Pink Sheer Ribbon, 1-1/2" width 1 Lavender-Blue Hydrangea Bloom
90 to 100 Pink Rose Boutons (dried rose buds)

Additional Supplies:

Ruler
Scissors
Floral Wire
Hot Glue
Wire Cutters (if your are making it with a silk rose garland)

Instructions
1. Place the heart doily inside the heart basket to line the bottom.

2. If possible, weave ribbon all around the basket, just below the rim. If it can't be woven into the basket, glue it in place. With the remaining ribbon, make a small, four loop bow. Wire it together and glue it to the rim of the basket near the handle. 3. Break the hydrangea apart and glue small clusters of it all around the rim of the basket. Cover the rim almost completely and allow some of the blooms to drape over the edge. 4. If you are trimming it in dried buds: Glue the rose dried rose buds all around the rim in clusters. Face the roses out in all directions.
If you are using a silk rose garland: Wrap it around the basket and cut with wire clippers leaving a few inches length. Use the extra length and twist it together. Then tuck it under the rose garland so it can not be seen.5. Drape your ribbon and hydrangea over the roses so it looks natural.

You can make this same basket with any flower theme. ivy, gerbera daisies, stephanotis, orchids, pine, babys breath etc.
