Winter by Maggie H. Making Memories Scrapbook Page Idea

Winter by Maggie H.

I just adore this photo of my friend's daughter playing out in the snow. I love that she is freezing cold, all bundled up with snow on her head and yet she is having a blast! This was her first winter as a toddler and she took it all in with a huge smile on her face! I wanted to create a timeless feel on my layout so I printed the photo in sepia tone and used the red and green vintage crackle paper. I will enjoy this layout and her adorable smile for many years to come!

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Cut strips of Vintage Paper for background and rub the edges with brown ink. Layer the strips onto the background and attach the photo. Create a pocket out of red cardstock and embellish with rub-on words. Cut a piece of Ledger Paper to fit inside pocket for journaling and attach ribbon to the top with a decorative brad. Tie four strips of ribbon across the bottom of the page and attach pocket over the ribbon. Spell "Winter" with the rub-on alphabet and cut out each letter individually. Attach to the top of the page. Attach hinges and photo anchors with mini brads.
  2. Attach alphabet charms to the top right corner.
