How to make a Floral
Wedding Bouquet - Long Style
This is a spectacular
long flowing bridal bouquet. And it is very easy to make if you just
follow the steps. An extra pair of hands is a plus when making this wedding
bouquet. You will be so surprised how pretty it
looks when you are through, and it costs a fraction of what it would cost if you
bought it from a florist.
Optional:
-
Long spray of pearls to hang down with ribbons.
Add more
greenery (fern) and morning glory garlands on the bottom for a
more formal look.
- Try
adding large white lilies in place of the large roses for a
different look.
| |
1. Lay
the ferns flat on a table. Stagger them an inch or so. Keep the overall
length around 20". Arrange 4 stems
(cut the sprays into stems) of baby breath on top of the fern. Lay the
rose buds on top of the baby’s breath. Place the buds up to the ends
of the ferns. |
| |
2. Cut
the flowers from the rose bush leaving the stems as long as possible.
Save one rose for later. Arrange them on the bed of fern and baby’s
breath. Cut morning glory garland into 5 inch sections. Place these
sections so they flow downward. |
| |
3. Bind
the stems together with floral wire. (The stems will be uneven.) Cut the
stems to four inches long at the bottom. |
| |
4. Starting
at the top of the stems (under the flowers) place the end of the floral
tape around the stems and stretch it as you wrap it around the stems. It
will stick to itself.
|
| |
5. Cut
the 1 yard length of sheer ribbon into six 6" lengths. Make them
into individual loops and secure the ends with floral wire. Hot glue
them in-between the flowers. |
| |
6. Cut up
the remaining babies breath and hot glue it in-between the flowers and
ribbons. |
| |
7. Make
a simple looped bow about 9" wide and glue it to the stems
underneath the bottom flower. Make another simple looped bow about
6" wide and glue it on top of the first bow. |
| |
8. Cut
two streamers with the remaining ribbon and hot glue it on top of the
second bow.Cut or remove the
remaining rose from thestem and hot glue it on top of the bow and
streamers.
|
| |
9. Cut
the ends of the pearl sprays a half inch below the glued strip that
holds them together. Dip them in white glue and insert them in-between
the flowers and ribbon loops. |
