Little Leaf Impressions
This set of small leaves come from Mother Nature's own designs. Each stamp began
as a real tiny leaf. We inked the leaves and pressed them to paper, then created
stamps directly from the impressions. Now you can add your own creativity to the
designs when you make handstamped cards and stationery
Instructions:
1. Make a foldover card 5" x 4 1/4" using a piece of sage green paper
and set aside.
2. Thoroughly ink the surface
of the background stamp with soft leaf ink. Then with a piece of corrugated
paper press texture in three of the blocks. When you have done that stamp the
image on bright white card stock. Trim piece so it has a 3/4" border.
3. In the blocks without the
pattern, print a leaf using green tea ink.
4. Layer stamped piece with
earthtone paper and glue to front of sage card.
Variation:
Try this card using the other three leaves in this set. You can also try
different materials to create patterns on the background of six solids.
Tip:
Leaves are symbols of our seasons. Light green tells us Spring is coming. Dark
green says it is Summer. Fall delivers a rainbow of hues from bright orange to
deep red. With stamping you can make cards that reflect any season you want.
