Gingham is making a huge
comeback for any type of décor, not only country. It's also being worn
on purses, totes and shirts! But for your home, particularly the
kitchen, you can add life and color to your towels by adding a row of
pretty gingham, positioned right over the woven stripe on the
towel. It's easy to fuse or glue it on with the many washable fabric
adhesive products now on the market. Add an appliqué (by ironing it on)
and brighten up any corner where the towel rack is. Next, take your jar candles and add a matching gingham bow, along with an appliqué of a fruit on a gingham patch, for a totally coordinated look. Then, take a plain basket and add some pizzazz to it with more gingham and a matching plain fruit appliqué. Fill it with bread sticks or apples and you've created the perfect centerpiece for the table!
