How to decorate floral headpieces with fresh and silk flowers.
The first step in making a
floral headpiece is knowing how to make a corsage so please read techniques for
making
a corsage before starting.
Hairpieces: After you have read and understood the techniques
on how to make a corsage you can make beautiful floral hair pieces.
For barrettes and combs: Use a separate floral wire to attach the
completed corsage to the barrette. Wrap one end of the wire to the top of
the barrette and tighten it. Lay the corsage on the barrette and wrap the
wire tightly around both. Silk or dry corsages can also be hot glued on the
barrette.
For wreaths: the bundle method is used. first,
measure a separate floral wire or wires to fit the person's head.
Wrap that wire with stem wrap
Second, prepare the flower bundles. As you finish each bundle, lay them
over the head wire and wrap the stem around it. Tape each one in place,
overlapping each bundle slightly. When the head wire is covered, bend it
into a circle and connect the ends together with wire or a bow.
