How to make a Photo Album Cover with your Xyron

Creating a delicate album cover using a doily is easy when adhesive is applied with a Xyron machine!
Materials
- Xyron® machine (850, 900 or 1200)
- Xyron Acid-Free Permanent Adhesive cartridge
- Photograph Album
- Doily
- Fiskars® Deckle Edge Paper Edgers
- 1 yard of 3/16" Picot edge satin ribbon
- 1/ 2 yard of 1" Sheer ribbon
- Photograph, scissors
- Complimentary scrapbook paper to mat photograph
Instructions
1. Trim the doily to fit the front of your album cover. Choose a portrait photo of the desired size.
2. Trim the photograph with deckle edge scissors. Mat from a complimentary color of scrapbook paper, 1" wider and 1" longer than the photograph.
3. Measure the album from top to bottom. Add 2" to this measurement then cut two pieces of satin ribbon this length.
4. Use the Xyron machine to apply adhesive to the doily, photograph, mat and the satin ribbon. Remove the clear top film then carefully apply the doily to the center of the album cover, or if you have cut a rectangle doily apply with the cut edge aligned with the left side of the cover.
5. Cut a piece of sheer ribbon for the bow, and place underneath the right satin ribbon at the edge of the album. This will make it easy to tie into a bow. Make sure that you place the sheer ribbon underneath in the middle in order to have an even bow.
6. Place the satin ribbons about 1/2"apart at the left side folding the ends to the inside of the cover at the top and bottom. Center the photograph on the mat then apply to the front of the cover.
