Geisha Greeting Card.
The elegance of Asian design with the masking technique of the stamper's trade
bring out beauty and dimension in this tag art card.
Instructions:
1) On a white notecard, stamp a background using the Kanji Poem (or Chinese wishes) with the
in sand beige and chateau gray. Let dry.
2) Stamp the Japanese Maiden on
scrap paper and cut out. This piece is called a mask. Next stamp Japanese Maiden
on tag using black ink. Cover the design with your mask and stamp Japanese
Maiden again. Remove mask. The second image will look like it is behind the
first image giving your tag dimension.
3) Stamp Chinese Seals on tag
using orange ink.
4) Adhere tag to silver paper
and trim 1/4" edge. Add raffia tie.
5) Adhere tag to note card.
Tip:
Save your masks whenever using the masking technique. This helps you build up a
library of tools that makes card making even easier!
